The Institute of Europe, Kaunas University of Technology organise International Scientific Conference “Political and Economical Challenges provocative Strategic Choices towards Europe of Knowledge” for the academic as well as public society and PhD students. The Conference will be held on 20th of April, 2012 at the Institute of Europe.
The aim of the conference is to invite the members of academic as well as public society to present the newest scientific research results considering strategic choices in order to manage political and economic challenges towards Europe of knowledge; to highlight other actual problems concerning further development of European Union.
Papers welcome on the following themes:
Strategic choices for the political and economic stability in the EU
Development of Common Market
Research, education and innovation in Knowledge Triangle
Technological development of EU
Regional policy development
The Northern Dimension policy
Climate change and sustainable development
Perspectives of EU initiatives on:
Horizon 2020
Research strategy for growth
Development of entrepreneurial business
Innovation union
DEADLINES:
1st March, 2012 - Registration and abstracts submission
9th March, 2012 - Confirmation of the abstract acceptance
12-16th March, 2012 - Registration fee remittance
30th March, 2012 - Preliminary conference program
2nd April, 2012 - Final papers submission

THE SCIENTIFIC OUTCOMES OF THE CONFERENCE:
After the double blind review there will be suggested two opportunities for paper publication:
1. Presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings E. Book (CD format).
2. Selected high scientific quality articles will be considered for publication in the refereed journal European Integration Studies: Research and Topicalities. ISSN 1822-8402 which is covered by the EBSCO (Central&Eastern European Academic Source Database Coverage List)
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS:
Conference registration fee is: 60 Euro (207 LT)
Conference registration fee will cover: Conference Proceedings E. Book (CD format) or the E. version of scientific journal (will be send after the publication via regular mail), participant pack and badge, lunch and refreshments during the Conference, reception dinner after the conference.
Travel and accommodation costs are not included.
Please note that participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements and hotel reservations.
